Acceptable Use Policy
Security, content, resource, and abuse-handling rules.
1. Principle
Services must be used lawfully, without harming others or disrupting networks. The policy covers the client’s users and a reseller’s customers.
2. Prohibited use
Fraud, phishing, malware, extortion, unauthorised access, DDoS activity, hiding unlawful activity, and unsolicited bulk messages are prohibited.
- Manifestly criminal content, child sexual exploitation, or trafficking.
- Documented infringement of copyright, trade marks, or privacy without appropriate action.
- Mining, scanning, open proxies, or intensive workloads not permitted by the plan.
- Health or highly sensitive data without an agreement and required safeguards.
3. Client security
Clients patch applications, remove default accounts, protect access, and act on alerts. No penetration testing of third parties or our infrastructure is allowed without written authorisation.
4. Fair use
Use that degrades other services may be limited or moved to a suitable plan. Immediate action may be taken for urgent risk.
5. Reports
An abuse report should include the address, time, evidence, and contact. Hostazi may request detail, preserve logs, and cooperate with competent authorities.
6. Enforcement
Depending on severity: warning, isolation, port or email restriction, suspension, or termination. The priority is stopping harm and preserving evidence.
